Debuting it its first edition, Speaking in the Public Sphere empowers students by helping them to develop the rhetorical skills necessary for effective citizenship and meaningful civic participation. Students are encouraged to see public speaking not only as a technical skill, but also as a means to empower themselves and improve the world around them.
