The John Tubinis File: 101st Airborne, Camp Breckinridge, 1948-1953
Nearly twenty years following her father's death, the author came across a military shoulder patch in his army photo album. Knowing nothing about her father's army service, she began to search the internet using a description of the patch-black background, white eagle's head. From there she began to join together the missing puzzle pieces, even meeting men that completed basic training in the same company as her father. Thousands of men trained at the same military reservation, just in different companies and time frames. Tens of thousands of those men are gone, even forgotten, or, perhaps, believe their role in American history is insignificant. The hope is to keep the memory of the men alive in this book. This second edition contains more accounts and images of men at Breckinridge and beyond.
