This book reflects the lively interest of a group of members of the Wine Label Circle who have contributed to the text in accordance with their own specialist expertise. It explores the history of the development of the labels themselves and also of the great collections. It examines in detail makers, places of manufacture and styles. Most of the authors have already written for the journal of the Wine Label Circle on specialist subjects.
