Fourteen years ago, Clara Wyatt was in love with her sweetheart Luke Coleman. They promised to marry and live a simple life on a small ranch. But that dream was shattered when Luke went to war and never returned.

Clara is determined to live the life she and Luke talked about, even if it means she has to do it alone. In honor of his memory, she runs a small ranch in Montana Territory. But now, at Christmas time, she sees a man on the streets of Broken Spur. A man who looks exactly like Luke.
