A Long Lonely Road, A long way from home. book 58

Wilkins discovers the remains of a US Army infantry company left stranded in Afghanistan during the pull back shortly before the crash. They had finally settled in a village whee they had lived in the years following the crash and were about to be wiped out by a group led by a religious fanatic. Wilkins brings word to John Walker and they carry out a cross portal raid to attempt to save them.
