Short Story: A Treasure Box Full of Cedar Hollow was originally published in the charity book Cedar Hollow Anthology which, having met its fundraising goal, was discontinued in the summer of 2013. A lighthearted introduction to the anthology, A Treasure Box Full of Cedar Hollow served as an introduction to the fictional town of Cedar Hollow, West Virginia, the setting for the Cedar Hollow Series, which includes the novels Appalachian Justice, Return to Crutcher Mountain, and Entangled Thorns.

While helping to pack up and sell the vacation cabin that has belonged to the Barrett family for generations, ten-year-old Miranda Barrett stumbles across a real-life mystery that ultimately leads the Barrett family to Erma Puckett's Vines and Roses boarding home, the only boarding home within fifty miles of Cedar Hollow, West Virginia.
