America Will Burn: The United States in Bible Prophecy

For many years, Christians have been taught that America is not mentioned in Bible prophecy. Given her power, size, and influence in the world, this has seemed incredulous. However the Bible does speak of both a nation and a city that it refers to as “Mystery Babylon the Great” or as the “Daughter of Babylon”. Many traditional Bible scholars will tell you that this is referring to the Vatican in Rome. Still others believe that this is referring to the ancient city of Babylon being rebuilt, or even of a nation not yet created on the earth.

However, there are a growing number of scholars who are beginning to notice how much the description of "Mystery" Babylon seems to apply to the modern United States. When I also began to research the topic I was astounded by the similarities. Quickly I realized that this could not be a coincidence. America IS mentioned in the Bible, and at some length. Recognizing this is extremely important to understanding the warnings God has laid out for us through Bible prophecy.
