Small town boys Marcus and Ryo have been friends for years, united by their love of music and the pressure of the traditional culture of their parents. They do almost everything together, despite being in separate bands, so when the chance comes for them to appear on the popular national musical competition Battle of the Bands, it’s only natural that they should share that, too.

Little do they know what’s waiting for them in Hollywood. They were expecting to be in competition with some very talented musical acts, but neither of them could have known that Ryo’s parents would be desperate to set him up with an eligible young woman who shares their cultural background.
