ABOUT THIS MAP The intent of this map is to provide a detailed, easy to read resource specifically for motorcyclists. This Utah edition highlights what we believe to be the best segments of paved roadway in the state. Of the many great rides in Utah there are twenty two that stand out in a category of their own, they are the gold standard, we call them (G1). These spectacular rides are the focus of this map, though also include are hundreds of miles of the best riding the state has to offer. More about G1? G1 segments are always dramatic, combining extremes such as rapid elevation change, thrilling road action and a close proximity to cliffs and canyons. These roads include an element of peril that demands attention. Each G1 section of this map is easily identified in expanded views that include GPS coordinates and elevation lines.
