Canterbury Journal (Diary, Notebook)
The cover design of this splendid journal is a reproduction of a gold-tooled book binding created in London in 1701. The slanted lines at the top and bottom of the design are referred to as ''cottage roof style,'' a frequent element of English book bindings in the 17th and 18th centuries.
- A matte black background sets off tulips and other motifs which are illumined with iridescent red highlights.
- Patterns of leaves and lacey accents are traced in gold foil.
- Embossing adds dimensional detailing, while a ''hubbed'' spine treatment recalls tomes of old.
- Gilded-gold page edging and an elegant ribbon bookmark round out the package.
- 160 lightly-lined writing pages provide plenty of space in which to write personal reflections or record favorite quotations or poems.
- Acid-free, archival paper takes pen or pencil beautifully.
- Complementary interior endsheets.
- 6-1/4 inches wide by 8-1/4 inches high.
