Dhaka to Dakar: Across Africa - Chapter 17: Niger

This chapter illustrates with photo and word my journey onwards into West Africa to a rarely-visited country, Niger. One of the poorest countries on Earth, blisteringly hot and dry, I was confronted with extreme poverty as soon as I hit the capital. The journey to the capital itself was an adventure, with various forms of transport and long waits to leave!
