En Parlant (French Edition)

En Parlant supports peer-to-peer communication enabling your students to work with each other speaking, listening, and eventually thinking in French without hesitation. Built on the principle that one learns to speak French by speaking, En Parlant employs a variety of activities to emphasize oral communication in a carefully supported manner.

Each student is encouraged to fulfill the role of teacher to another student while working on the activities presented. Fitting one of the 50 conversation topics to the moment gives additional context for learning new vocabulary. Students learn and teach each other by taking turns speaking. Novice learners may require more supervision and will rely heavily on the book for vocabulary and grammar while more advanced students can use the questions presented as a departure point for personal observations or further inquiry. The conversation's questions are the same no matter what the skill level of the student; progress is measured in the quantity and quality of the response.
