Focke-Wulf Fw 190, Vol. 2: 1943-1944

This is the second of a comprehensive three-volume reference work on the iconic Focke Wulf Fw 190--arguably the finest piston-engined fighter aircraft of World War 2. The books are the product of years of study by two of the leading researchers. Each volume contains more than four hundred photographs including those showing factory and construction, close-ups of weapons and equipment, operational units, and numerous facsimiles of Focke-Wulf handbook drawings. Color artwork is also included, plus an extensive selection of original manufacturer's technical drawings. This volume looks at the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A6-A10 and D series and the Fw 190 F and G fighter bomber development, covering the first operations by the Schlachtgeschwader until spring 1943; the Fw 190 A-6 and A-7 and operations until the end of 1943; the Fw 190 A-8 to A-10 and operations in the west until June 1944; the Fw 190 A operations in the east until June 1944; and ground-attack operations until June 1944.
