Washington State's North Cascades boasts some of the most magnificent terrain found in the United States, with its rushing waterfalls, crystal clear alpine lakes, rugged rock faces, and massive glaciers. For many, the North Cascades epitomizes the beauty, wilderness, and history that is the Pacific Northwest. Impressions of the North Cascades offers personal reflections about the landscape from sixteen contributors; each provides a unique and complex view of the mountain range.
