ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ana Castillo is the author of the novels So Far From God, Peel My Love Like an Onion, The Guardians, and Give It to Me. In 2013 she received the Gloria E. Anzaldua Award from the American Studies Association for her essay â€œThe Real and True Meaning of Our Lady of Guadalupe,â€ which appears as the afterword to this book.
