Nearing the End of Life - a Guide for Relatives and Friends of the Dying

This practical, down-to-earth guide for is for anyone - relative, friend, carer – who is either looking after a dying person, or is close to them. .

The booklet addresses complex issues that often arise as the end of life approaches, from how to open up difficult conversations and recognise the needs of the dying person, to identifying the physical signs of the dying process itself.

The Guide also looks at how death may affect family relationships and friendships.

Produced in association with the Clinical Neuroscience Division of the University of Southampton, the booklet has been distributed in print form to hospitals, hospices, care-homes, and GP surgeries throughout the United Kingdom.
