A collection of six of the most popular ebooks in the New Mail Order Brides Series. These are all historical western romance fiction ebooks. They are set in the 1860-1880 time frame. five of them are set in Wyoming, the other is in Grapevine, Tx.
The Civil War decimated the male population ages eighteen through thirty in both the North and the South. At the same time, miners and ranchers traveled west, without wives, leading to a shortage of marriageable women. In desperation, both males and females resorted to advertising for husbands and wives. One medium for advertising was a newspaper called The Matrimonial News. It accepted only advertisements for wives and husbands. It was published from roughly 1860-1890.
