Scalpel!: Memoirs of a Surgeon

The setting is a hospital in Upstate New York. This surgeon shares the challenges, victories and crushing disappointments of his career as honestly as possible. It is more than a story of wielding a scalpel, but rather the story of patients who touched his heart. They are remembered not only for their disease but the attractiveness of personality and character. During the events of his professional life, he seldom had the time to spend with family that he would have wanted.
