This is both a second edition version of Stockholm itself, combined with a detailed map of southern Sweden, and thus a new map for ITMB. The city itself is interesting, and fills side one. The central railway station forms the western edge of the Centralen (or centre), but it is the more southerly Gamla Stan (or old town) that captivates visitors with its narrow streets and numerous hotels. Stockholm has an excellent rapid transit network joining the central areas to the more outlying ones, and a series of ferry docks joining points in the harbour area and beyond, all of which are shown clearly. The new part of the map is the second side a beautiful map of the southern half of Sweden, from its junctions with Denmark north to the Norwegian border and northeasterly to Stockholm and up the coast well past Uppsala to Ostersund and Sundsvall. This makes the map doubly useful to the end user in that it includes that portion of the country most likely to be visited as well as serving the user well during a stay in Stockholm itself.
