Stolen Futures (A Madeleine Porter Mystery)

When Catherine Wilson sets out to trace her family tree, she is taken aback when her great-aunt tells her about a murder, in which their family was supposedly involved, that had happened many years previously. Catherine requests the assistance of Madeleine Porter, family history researcher, and her friend and fellow researcher Ian Clay, to investigate this claim. Their enquiries reveal the shocking truth behind the tale; and the account, as related in an old journal, of two quite different Victorian families, divided by class, but connected by death.
