Summer

Edith Wharton was a prominent American author in the early 20th century. Wharton won the Pulitzer Prize and was also nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature on 3 different occasions. Wharton's writing was notable for its wit and psychological insight, especially when commenting on the American upper class. Summer is a novel that is set in New England that centers around a young woman who is bored with her life as a librarian until she meets a charismatic architect who she falls in love with.
