For months, there's been no sign of Alex's sister, who she fought so desperately to rescue. Lora has disappeared without a trace. 

Alex refuses to give up the search, though, even in the face of danger. Danger that includes the rogue werewolf stalking and murdering people in her once sleepy southern town. The killings are brash. A brutal declaration of power. And Alex knows why they've started: her refusal to give in to Valkos. The growing bodycount is a warning. He is trying to break her, and now neighboring packs --once allies-- are convinced that Alex is a risk that needs to be eliminated before she's broken. 

But she has no plans to break. Only to fight. And now, at least, she thinks she finally knows who will help her win that fight. Who she can trust.

Except she's wrong.
