Tamed by a Beast: An Urban Love Story

Kaylen is a young woman in dire need of love and validation. Her mother, who she calls Connie, is not much of a parent. After her father turned up missing thirteen years ago, her mother traveled fast on a downward spiral. All Kaylen has is her little sister, Kylie, who she pretty much raises herself, and her best friend Laila. Despite her dismal situation, she can’t help but crush on a local dope boy named Jamir. When her mother drops the parenting ball again, leaving them with no food or electricity, he steps in to help, but she wonders if he has an agenda.

Jamir is a ruthless dope boy working on his big come up. Controlling only a few blocks in Atlanta just isn’t enough for a cocky dude like him. As he plots how to get up to Kingpin status, he decides to do a good deed for one of his fiend’s daughters. What he doesn’t expect is to eventually fall for her. Especially when he has a vindictive, but convenient girlfriend by the name of Yummy, and a few haters determined to block his ambitions.

Kaylen and Jamir eventually find themselves dealing with a whirlwind of chaos and drama, but through it all, they can’t seem to leave each other alone. Jamir would do anything for her; even kill, and she knows deep down that he’s the love of her life. Despite Jamir’s true feelings, with the lifestyle that he lives, he wonders if he will ever be ready to commit to someone. After all that Kaylen has been through in her life and with Jamir, she wonders if she will be able to let him in completely, even if he is.
