Tarot, Witch of the Black Rose: The Mermaid Chronicles

The Mermaid Chronicles gathers the 3 issues of Tarot that were influenced by a the tragic 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. We open with Tarot# 65, "The Last Mermaid"; A desperate cry goes out to Tarot and her sister Raven Hex. Oil covered carcasses of merfolk, men ,women and children lie dead washed up on the gulf shore. Was it an accident of mass destruction or was it, as the merfolk see it, a weapon of mass destruction unleashed ? The fate of mankind lies in the hands of one Witch.



Then we jump ahead to Tarot# 70: "Temple of the Fallen Mermaids" part 1"



Two warriors clash . One from a world of deep blue waters and one from a world of magick. An assault takes place in a sacred temple. Treasures are stolen and a mermaid is left to die. Not all Witches seek harmony in the world and not all mermaids sing under the sea.



And finally with Tarot# 71:"Temple of the Fallen Mermaids" part 2"



Beaten by the Warrior Mermaid, Tarot hangs half submerged chained to the walls of a hidden cave. Crabs, Eels and Sharks close in to rip at her flesh and to bring a bloody end to the Witch of the Black Rose.
