When Chrissy Bright’s boyfriend, Charlie, tells her that he has a special surprise for her, she cannot wait to find out what he has planned for their weekend away.

When it turns out that he has booked them both on a ghost hunt weekend at old Stanley Palace in Chester, Chrissy’s world is turned completely upside down. How can she tell him that what he has planned is her worst possible nightmare come true?

Chrissy tells herself to get a grip and decides she is being silly and plans to make the best of their weekend away together. However, when she starts to hear voices and see strange visions in the night, it brings back distant memories of a time that Chrissy has buried deep inside her mind. As the weekend progresses Chrissy is dragged further into the past and during a supposedly harmless séance she is taken back to the 1600’s, presenting her with a terrifying vision that she cannot explain, scaring her to the very core of her soul.
