The Little Book of Trading Performance: Section 6 - Are You Treating Your Trading Like a Business - or a Hobby?

In this Section, the reader is reminded that to be successful at trading - just like any other work endeavor - it must be approached from a business perspective. You got into trading to "make money" - and what is a business for? To make money. And it is no different with your trading. However, if you are not approaching your trading just like any other business endeavor - you will not be successful - except at losing, consistenty.

In this Section, you will learn that creating a "trading" business plan is key to learning how to focus on, and take advantage of, opportunities in the markets. And you do that by having a mission statement about your trading - and then creating and maintaining your business plan as it applies to your trading.

All sections of this series have been culled from decades of personal coaching with traders of all levels, as well as professional fund managers at banking institutions and brokerage firms. These skills have been taught by Mark Douglas and Paula T. Webb, to countless traders over the years in over 15 countries, and are 'tried-and-true" exercises.
