The Mastermind of Mars

Captain Ulysses Paxton is transported to Mars in this sixth installment of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom series. After being mortally wounded, Paxton, like John Carter, wakes up on the strange world of Barsoom. He's rescued by Ras Thavas, the "master mind" who has perfected brain transplants. With this skill he can give the rich and powerful young new bodies. Paxton, renamed Vad Varo, is trained as Ras's assistant. Soon Vad finds himself doubting his benefactor's integrity.
