This is the parallel English / Greek text of The Iliad by Homer. The English translation and introduction is by A.T. Murray. Each Greek word is linked with a dictionary definition, either from Strong's New Testament Dictionary or from a condensed dictionary provided as an appendix.

The Iliad is an ancient Greek epic poem, set during the Trojan War, a ten-year siege of the city of Troy by a coalition of Greek states. It relates the battles and events during the quarrel between Achilles and King Agamemnon.

The Iliad is somewhat of a sequel to the Odyssey. Along with the Odyssey, the Iliad is among the oldest extant works of Western literature. It is dated approximately to the 8th century BC.
