Everyone except me, that is. I’m just a temp without any stock options.

There’s one way for me to change that: a new job at the same company. There’s a spot that just opened up, working directly under the CEO.

I told them I’d take it. I told them I’d be a great secretary.

They told me to put on a silk blouse, pencil skirt, and a pair of heels. Now I’m sitting in a chair at the salon, getting my nails painted and my head fitted for a platinum blonde wig.

If this is what it takes to get the job, then I'll do it. Besides, it’s only for a few days, right?

It’s not like I’m about to find out I make a far better woman than I ever did a man…
