Tin Can Man

Tin Can Man is the story of World War II in the Pacific as seen through the eyes of the teen-age sailors aboard the U.S.S. Saufley, one of the most highly decorated destroyers of the war. EJ takes the reader on a first-person tour of the Old Navy from boot camp in Norfolk to his first tour of duty aboard the U.S.S. Washington, through the early months of war in the Atlantic, to a disagreement over liberty policy leading to the brig, and finally to the Saufley in the Pacific where he remained through the end of the war.
