Waterlife: Handmade Cards

Evoking the rich heritage of the Mithila form of folk art from Bihar in eastern India, Rambharos Jha depicts creatures of the water as you have never seen them before. From a smiling crocodile to a lobster with a secret, each of these vibrant illustrations was originally featured in Rambharos’ bestselling book Waterlife. Each boxed set features ten handmade cards — two each of five designs — and ten envelopes, as well as an insert with further information on the artist and artisans involved. Proceeds from the sale of each note card pack support tribal and folk artists in India, as well as the skilled artisans involved in the printing process.
