Zhuangzi is one of China's most influential and profound Chinese philosophers. Zhuangzi (also called Chuang Tzu) was a Daoist philosopher who lived around the 4th century BC during the Warring States period.

莊子（约前369年—前286年），名周，生卒年失考，約與孟子同時。战国时代宋国蒙（今河南省商丘市东北，一说安徽蒙城）人，曾任漆園吏。著名思想家、哲学家、文学家，是道家学派的代表人物，老子思想的继承和发展者。后世将他与老子并称为“老莊”。他也被称为蒙吏、蒙莊和蒙叟。據傳，又嘗隱居南華山，故唐玄宗天寶初，詔封莊周為南華真人，稱其著書《莊子》為南華經。简体字：庄子
