The Qur'an: Analysis and Explanation, Volume TWO القرآن تحليل وبيان، المجلد الثاني [Arabic Version]

This scholarly work is the second volume of a multivolume commentary on the Qur'an and examines selected verses from sixteen chapters (suras 10-25). Like the first volume, this book contains the Qur'an's text complemented with this comprehensive study:
* Introduction, which outlines key political, historical, social, or controversial issues;
* Critical Analysis, which focuses on relevant historical accounts, scientific information, and literary structure;
* Variant Readings, which highlight differences in syntax, word choice, and meaning from the current common Arabic readings and earliest formal codification of the Qur'an;
* Abrogation, which identifies nullified verses and explains their effect on authoritative precedence. This volume provides greater discussion and history regarding the development and multiplicity of the variant readings and their role in preventing a unified, universally adopted Qur'an. Additional resources include several informative articles.
في الجزء الثاني من هذا الكتاب، تسع عشرة سورة، وهو متابعة لمشروع يدرس القرآن: لغةً، ومضمونًا، وتاريخًا. والكتاب يحتوي على الأقسام التالية: القراءات؛ الناسخ والمنسوخ، والتحليل النقدي. مثلاً، ففي دراستنا للقراءات المختلفة، أوضحنا أن تطور القراءات وتعددها يعكس التعدد في المصاحف، كما يكشف عملية الصراع في قلب السلطة الدينية والسياسية للإسلام من أجل توحيد النص القرآني وإنتاج نص رسمي، فالقراءات تكتسب أهمية خاصة من حيث كونها تكشف عدم وجود قرآن واحد، وأيضًا أنه على مدى تاريخ الإسلام لم تتمكن السلطات الإسلامية من اعتماد نسخة مرجعية واحدة. أما في التحليل النقدي، فإن الباحث إذ يحلل التاريخ ويتناوله، فعليه أيضاً أن يقيّم الفاعلين به، على أن يكون التقييم حسب معايير عصر الشخصيات قيد الدَّرس؛ ولهذا، حيثما يقرأ القارئ تقييمًا في كتابنا، فإن الهدف منه هو إعطاء قيمة الحدث في حينه، لا بمعايير العصر الحديث، بل إن أي تقييم موجود في الكتاب يعتمد على ما هو موجود في القرن السابع الميلادي، عصر الدعوة المحمدية.
