The Level A Verbal Analogies Workbook provides extensive practice for students so they can become accustomed to verbal analogies (grades K-3*), including those found on the SCATTM, SSATTM, CTP-4TM, CogAT®, & OLSAT® assessments. A Practice Quiz is included. The verbal analogy questions in this workbook are the identical to those in Aristotle Circle's SCAT Workbooks. The Verbal Analogies Workbook contains 60 questions along with tips, strategies, and explanations that will help students solve even the toughest analogy questions. Also included is workspace designed to reinforce understanding of the most common analogy relationships. Students are taught how to identify word relationships by their types. Even if a student doesn't know a word's definition, they will learn strategies to help them make the best selection based on the types of analogies presented. Students will increase confidence and develop problem-solving techniques to promote a stronger understanding of analogies, an optimum test outcome with analogy-type questions, as well as general enrichment. Each level of the Verbal Analogies Workbooks comes with the same practice test so that parents can assess the level their child is performing at. *the grades assigned to each level are general suggestions from the publisher.
