One Serving of Bad Luck (A Short Story)

Chicago private investigator Ray Dudgeon is back. A bungled auto repair has cost a librarian more than just a tire—paralyzed for life, she’s going to need a lot of money for medical expenses. While Dudgeon can’t give the librarian her legs back, he vows to get her some justice.

But the mechanic who worked on her car has disappeared and soon the job is taking Dudgeon to places he’d rather not go, facing him off against hired thugs of big business.
